Field Trip!
I wanted to die. Our new unit is "Recycle, Reuse, Reduce" and the kids have come up with the cutest little slogans like "If you cut trees, we will die" and "If you don't recycle, we will die." As part of the initiative to encourage an inquiring empathetic mind, the school sent us on a field trip to the recycling plant. The dump. It stunk and it was disgusting. I should have gotten combat pay for the day as well as an oxygen mask and hazmat suit. We went to the freaking dump on a field trip. What the hell happened to the zoo?
